Welcome and Hello!
Welcome to the Winterpaws website, a site dedicated to helping the rescue of Samoyed, Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky, and other northern spitz breeds in Australia.
We are not a rescue group but offer our services as a resource to those who are involved in rescue. Any dogs advertised on this site by a rescue group is done free of charge. Where we are notified we will also place pictures of dogs who have been impounded and are currently on death row.
If you do not see a dog on this site that suits you, feel free to contact us and we will add your details to our mailing list. Do think very carefully about choosing a northern breed dog as a pet. We want our rescues to go to their forever home and a quick look through of our site will provide you with background information and links for each breed. Do feel free to contact us with any questions and where possible we will direct you to the most appropriate person

Xena - Siberian Husky
Xena is a lovely girl. Looking for a good home for the latter part of her life. Still quite active. She has been in a temporary situation for quite some time, and we would love for her to find her forever home as soon as possible.
Xena loves people and being a husky she needs to be part of her family or part of a pack. Xena needs a home where she has other dog company if left outside. Otherwise she needs to be inside with her humans.
Lovely girl with alot of love to give.
Good with kids. Walks on a lead.
Xena doesn't like cats.
Adoption fee: $300
Age: 8 yrs

Missing - Two Siberian Husky - 1 Male 1 Female
Male Wolf Gray Female White

On Sunday the 11th of November 2007 at 5 am our dogs were with us, by 6am they had just disapppered. We have a small cherry farm in Monteagle, which is 5 minutes to Young New South Wales, We go to the farm a few times a year.
Max was 4 1/2 when he disappeared, he has been going to the farm for over two of those years and never and i mean NEVER has he ever left our sides. Max is wolf grey with beautiful amber eyes,
Bella was 6 months old when she disappered, she has been going down there since a little puppy, never and I mean NEVER did she leave our sides. Bella is snow white with baby blue eyes with black eyeliner around her eyes.

We know of two blue and white trail bikes which were riding around near our farm the weekend before they went missing and the saturday the day before they went missing on the sunday the bikes had gone and so had the dogs we are not sure whether these people had anything to do with that or not
Two Siberian husky's CAN NOT just disapppear SOMEONE out there knows something
We contacted the police that day, we contacted the rangers that day, we contacted the radio stations that day, we put up hand written flyers all over young that day, The next weekend we put up a 100 coloured flyers, we knocked on every door in Monteagle and left flyers with them...
NO ONE seems to know what happened
There has to be someone out there who knows something
PLEASE I beg YOU as a mother of three children can you please ask around - if someone all of a sudden got a new husky on that weekend please let us know. We have been emailed from stupid people who claim to have the dogs, but all they wanted was money,
We have been threatened that if we dont give money they will kill the dogs.
We have had such a horrible last 10 months looking for them
IF you DO know someone who MIGHT have the dogs or even 1 of them,
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE we beg you let us know. They might have seperated them now
The police have said they maybe interstate by now. We dont know
Please even if you know something and harm was brought to either of them PLEASE let us know, I need closure. I need to know.
